Terms
Terms
The rules for using this site and for booking a stay. The Boarding Agreement covers the stay itself.
Effective 28 October 2026. Version 1.2.

1. About these terms
These terms cover the use of minahouse.dog. A booking is also covered by the Boarding Agreement and the cancellation and deposit policy, which you accept when you book. Where they say something more specific than this page, they win.
Mina House is a one-person in-home dog boarding business in Yorba Linda, California, run by Anthony Lin.
2. Using this site
Read it, use the calculators, book a stay. Please do not try to break it, scrape it, or use it to send anyone anything they did not ask for.
3. Estimates and calculators
The price estimate and the refund calculator on this site are estimates. They follow the published rates and the published cancellation policy, and they are kept accurate on purpose — but the figure that counts is the one confirmed in writing when a booking is made.
If a calculator and a written confirmation ever disagree, tell me. In practice I will honour whichever is better for you, because the mistake would be mine.
4. Booking a stay
Submitting the booking form is a request, not a booking. Nothing is charged and no dates are held until I confirm, which is usually the same day.
Before a first stay I will ask for proof that your dog’s rabies, DHPP and Bordetella vaccinations are current. Dogs need to be over a year old and spayed or neutered.
Never more than three dogs stay here at a time, counting yours.
I may decline a booking. If your dog is not right for this house, you will hear it at the meet-and-greet rather than after a deposit has been taken.
5. Paying
The deposit is one night, due when a booking is confirmed. The balance is due seven days before drop-off, or fourteen days before a holiday stay. A stay booked inside that window is due in full at confirmation.
Cards, Zelle, Venmo, PayPal and cash are all accepted. Card payments are sent as an invoice and handled by Stripe.
6. Cancelling
The full policy, with a calculator that works out your exact refund, is on the home page. In short: a week’s notice, or two over a holiday, and everything comes back.
What is kept on a late cancellation is a cancellation fee reflecting a booking that can no longer be filled, not a penalty.
7. Animals left behind
Notice under California Civil Code §1834.5: an animal not picked up within 14 calendar days after the day it was due to be collected is deemed abandoned under California law. Mina House will make every effort to reach you and your emergency contact first, and will work with a shelter or rescue to place an abandoned animal.
This has never happened and I expect it never will. It is here because the law requires the notice to be given, and because you should know it before you leave your dog with anyone.
8. What belongs to whom
The words, photographs, logo and design on this site belong to Mina House. Please do not republish them.
Photographs of your dog taken during a stay belong to Mina House. Showing them on this site or on Mina House social media is optional and is asked for separately in the boarding agreement, not bundled into your booking — if you don’t agree to it, your dog is still photographed and you still get the photos, they just stay between us. Names are not published. Ask and any photo comes down.
Reviews quoted on this site were written by real clients on Rover and are theirs.
9. Limits
Dogs play, and dogs are dogs. Scrapes, scratches, an upset stomach in an unfamiliar house — these happen anywhere dogs are, and they are part of the ordinary risk of boarding. You will hear about anything that does happen the same hour.
Veterinary costs for your dog are yours. Mina House carries liability insurance including veterinary expense reimbursement, and that is applied to your bill where it applies, but the bill is yours.
If your dog injures a person or another animal, or damages property here, that is your responsibility.
Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
10. Which law applies
California law. If something cannot be settled by picking up the phone — and almost everything can — it would be heard in Orange County, California.
11. Changes
If these terms change, the date and version at the top change with them. A booking is governed by the version you accepted.
